Through Film we fight on | SU Human Rights Film Festival
Winning campaign pitch to festival directors as part of the Newhouse School's portfolio program
The Mission: Break the Bubble
We were told students don’t like watching free movies about human rights issues. So we gave the festival a tagline and a message to send to campus: through film we fight on for those whose rights are ignored.

Awareness
First, we rolled out our tagline next to the faces whose stories were being told at the festival.
Body Copy:
3 days of international award-winning films. Stories featured in Berlin, Tribeca, and Sundance.
They're hard to imagine, yet inherently human tales of struggle, grit, and hope.
You don't need a ticket to attend. Just a pulse.
- Phase II -
A Call to Question
Next, we spoke directly to students to break them out of their safe space.

- Phase III -
High Impact
A week before the festival, we brought our prints to places students most frequent.
- Phase IV -
Highly Intimate
Students are always on the go, so we went to the few places they're stopped to keep engagement going.
